What our clients are saying

Custom App Development

Siasola built Orson, a custom production management app for Neuf Cinq, designed around how our film projects actually run, not an off-the-shelf tool. In production, everything moves fast: crew schedules, documents, compliance requirements, and logistics across multiple shoots. We needed a secure, centralized platform to replace scattered files and manual coordination. As the app takes shape, it's clear it will give our team the visibility and oversight we want. For production companies or businesses that need custom software development tailored to their operations, Siasola delivers AI-native technical expertise and dependable execution.

Custom Workflow Automation

I've spent close to 20 years creating and directing live shows and brand experiences around the world, where one missed update can ripple through crews, vendors, travel, and budgets in minutes. Cirque du Soleil, C2 Montréal, FIFA, Van Cleef & Arpels. Before Siasola, we were always fighting the same problem: information decay. By the time a spreadsheet hit the team, it was already wrong. People were working off different versions, and someone always had to chase the truth. Siasola ended that. Schedules, call sheets, and production documents stay accurate and aligned without manual follow-ups. Across multiple countries and time zones, it changes the entire pace of production. Less firefighting. More control. And finally, a workflow that matches real production.

Why we built Orson by siasola

Orson is the crew management platform I built for film and TV production in Quebec. Working with production professionals in Montreal, I kept seeing the same problems I had spent my career solving as an ML-AI engineer and data analyst: crew details in one place, call sheets in another, compliance documents buried in email, and budgets tracked in spreadsheets nobody trusted to be current.

Film production in Quebec adds layers that generic tools do not handle. ARRQ and AQTIS union rules, Quebec Law 25 privacy requirements, and Canadian tax forms like the TD1 and TP1015: the coordination demands are enormous and the stakes are real. One missed document or compliance requirement can hold up a production.

I teamed up with a Sundance Film Festival award-winning producer to build Orson together. His deep industry expertise combined with my background in AI engineering and data systems means the platform is shaped by how Quebec productions actually run, not by how software companies imagine they run.

Orson is now in early access. Crew onboard themselves through a QR code or email invite, upload their Quebec documents, and appear on a live readiness dashboard. Call sheets go out with read confirmations, schedules span multiple shoots, logistics stay coordinated, and union budgets, invoices, and timesheets sit alongside Law 25 consent, audit logs, and encrypted crew data. It is French-first and bilingual, all in one secure platform for Quebec film and TV production.

How It Works

  1. 1

    Create your production

Set up a project with your departments, roles, and templates, then invite your team. Copy crew between projects and reuse folder and checklist templates so you are not starting from scratch.

  2. 2

    Onboard your crew

Send a QR code or email invite so crew build their own profiles and upload TD1, TP1015, void cheques, ID, work permits, and union cards. Watch readiness update in real time.

  3. 3

    Run the shoot

Send call sheets with read confirmations, set call times across shoots, and coordinate equipment, transport, and catering from one place.

  4. 4

    Track budgets and compliance

Build union budgets, capture invoices and timesheets, flag turnaround and meal penalty violations, and stay Law 25 compliant with consent, audit logs, and encryption.

How production teams use Orson

Real workflows across onboarding, coordination, compliance, and budgets. Here is how the platform fits a production.

Onboard a new crew

Send a QR code or an email invite and let crew build their own profiles and upload documents, so you are not chasing paperwork by hand. Profiles hold departments, emergency, dietary, and medical info, plus encrypted SIN and bank details.

Track document readiness

Watch a live dashboard show who is cleared and who still owes a TD1, TP1015, void cheque, ID, work permit, or union card. Each document carries expiry tracking, verification, and a per-crew checklist.

Generate and distribute call sheets

Build digital call sheets from your shoot plan and send them with read confirmations, so everyone on the crew has the current version.

Schedule across shoots

Set call times and manage crew across overlapping productions from one place. See who is booked, who is available, and where conflicts sit before they become problems.

Flag union violations early

Catch turnaround, meal penalty, overtime, and rest period issues against ARRQ and AQTIS rules before they cost you. The platform flags risks before they happen, not after.

Coordinate logistics

Line up equipment, transport, and catering across shoot days and keep every department aligned on what goes where and when.

Build and reconcile union budgets

Draft a budget with ARRQ and AQTIS rate cards and overtime brackets, view a top-sheet and margin, project costs against baselines, and reconcile at wrap.

Handle invoices and timesheets

Capture invoices with OCR, run timesheets and a punch clock, generate deal memos as PDFs, and keep contact sheets and exports in one place.

Stay Law 25 compliant

Manage consent, honour right-to-erasure requests, keep audit logs, and store personal information with AES-256 encryption.

Built for Quebec film and TV productions. French-first and bilingual, with Quebec Law 25 compliance.

Frequently asked questions

Orson by siasola is built for film and TV production companies in Quebec that need to onboard crew, collect documents, run call sheets and schedules, coordinate logistics, and build union budgets in one place. It is designed for producers, unit production managers, production coordinators, and anyone responsible for keeping a production running on schedule and in compliance.

Crew join through a QR code or an email invite and build their own profiles, so you are not entering everyone by hand. A profile holds departments, emergency, dietary, and medical info, plus encrypted SIN and bank details. You get a per-crew checklist and a live view of who has finished onboarding.

Orson collects the TD1 federal and TP1015 Quebec tax forms, a void cheque, ID, passport, work permit, union card, and certifications. Each document carries expiry tracking, verification, and a per-crew checklist, so you know exactly who is cleared to work and what is still outstanding.

Orson generates and distributes digital call sheets directly from your crew schedule and shoot plan. Call times, locations, department contacts, and special instructions are pulled from your production data, so you do not need to re-enter information. Call sheets go out to the crew with read confirmations, so you know who has seen the latest version.

Yes. Orson is designed with Quebec union compliance at its core. The platform tracks turnaround times, meal penalties, overtime thresholds, and rest period requirements, and flags potential violations before they become a problem. Union budgeting uses ARRQ and AQTIS rate cards and overtime brackets, so your budget reflects the rules you actually work under.

Yes. You can build budgets with a top-sheet, margin view, Quebec union rate cards, overtime brackets, projections, and baselines. Orson also captures invoices with OCR, runs timesheets and a punch clock, generates deal memos as PDFs, and reconciles at wrap, with CSV and Excel exports throughout.

Orson is built with Quebec Law 25 compliance from the ground up. It includes consent management, right-to-erasure handling, and audit logs, and it stores personal information with AES-256 encryption. Role-based access controls make sure only authorized team members see sensitive data, and production data stays with your studio.

Yes. Orson is French-first and fully bilingual in French and English. Productions operating in Quebec must comply with Bill 96, and Orson supports bilingual workflows so your documents, call sheets, and crew communications can meet French language obligations without duplicating effort across separate tools.

Orson is a web app that runs in any modern browser, so there is nothing to install. Crew and coordinators use it from their phone or computer through the browser. A dedicated mobile app is in development.

StudioBinder and Movie Magic Scheduling are general production tools built for the US market. Orson is built specifically for Quebec productions, with Canadian tax form collection (TD1, TP1015, void cheque), Quebec Law 25 privacy compliance, ARRQ and AQTIS union budgeting and violation flagging, and French-first bilingual workflows. It also combines crew onboarding, call sheets, scheduling, logistics, compliance, and budgeting in one platform rather than requiring a separate tool for each job.

Orson is in early access with a free pilot for Quebec productions. Paid plans start at $149 per month for Starter, with Professional at $399 per month and custom pricing for Enterprise.
